Campus Veterinary Services (CVS) provides a full spectrum of veterinary services for campus research and teaching animals. These services include comprehensive preventative health programs, interventional care in cases of illness, emergency services, and supportive veterinary care required for various research or teaching protocols for laboratory animals.
CVS personnel are available to provide technical support for research projects, including assistance with surgical procedures, anesthetic support, collection of blood and tissues, post operative care, rederivation services, and the management of breeding colonies.
Located in Armstrong Tract, south of I-80, Campus Veterinary Services is staffed by four Veterinarians and five Animal Health Technicians. Resident Veterinarians pursing post-doctoral training in the specialty of Laboratory Animal Medicine rotate through the clinic as part of their training program.
