BILL BALABAN ARCHIVE ON HUMAN-ANIMAL INTERACTIONS AND ANIMALS IN THE MEDIA
The extensive archive on human-animal interactions gathered by Bill Balaban over a twenty-five year period is now available for scholarly study at the University of California, Davis. The collection focuses on animals in the media and includes many VHS tapes, featuring movies in which animals played a significant role, as well as DVDs and other materials related to human-animal interactions.
A detailed list covering much of the collection’s contents has been prepared by Alisha Tran, and is linked below. The collection will be available for study, with an available VHS player and desk space to work, until the end of 2012, when space may be more limited.
