California Digital Library MELVYL catalog
    The public may access recent book titles added to the University of California campus library catalogs using MELVYL.  This search will take a minute or so to complete and it will include fossil rhinoceroses and some works of fiction.

          The aim of the project was to condition Mwaniki, the subject male, Kenyan Black Rhino, to produce regular semen samples, in response to a modified artificial vagina, and to evaluate the quality of the samples on production.

 

     ORGANIZATIONS
David Sheldrick Wildlife Fund
    Dedicated the protection and preservation of the Black Rhino for anti-poaching and the elephant cause.  Includes latest news and updates on current issues and action, newsletters and contacts.

International Rhino Foundation
     This foundation is dedicated to the worldwide conservation of all five species of rhinoceroses.  It provides other active organizations with support that are helping both in captivity rhinos and in the wild rhinos.  The site has links to other specialist groups the are concerned also with the plight of the rhino.  Provides access to ways that you can help.

Khama Rhino Sanctuary Trust
     A community-based wildlife project in Boswana, established in 1992 to assist in saving the vanishing Rhino.

Save the Rhino International
       Since 1990, Save the Rhino International (SRI) has evolved into the leading non-profit rhino organization.  The charity
           is committed to ensuring the survival of the rhinoceros species in the wild by working closely with local communities and
           providing ongoing support for wildlife managers and game rangers.

Sebakwe Black Rhino Trust; conservancy group in Zimbabwe
       Established in 1989 to help save Zimbabwe's Black Rhinos from extinction.

SOS Rhino
          SOS Rhino is a non-profit foundation that specializes in the reproductive problems of rhinos, especially the Sumatran rhinos, and consults for zoos in such countries as Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, India, Australia and the United States.  Provides information regarding rhino facts and resources, rhinos in the news and how to contact the organization.
