Program Objectives

The theme of this year's program is: Pruritus in Paradise: Beyond Corticosteroids! The program will focus on the diagnosis and management of pruritic skin diseases in the dog and the cat with emphasis on allergy. "Unrehearsed Clinical Cases" is our new experimental feature this year. Faculty pairs will put each other on the spot by presenting interesting, unknown cases to see how their colleague would proceed diagnostically and therapeutically. Our goal is to show you how dermatologists think (or don't think!).

Our knowledgeable faculty consists of a mix of dermatologists from both academia and private specialty practice with varied teaching styles ensuring the presentation of diverse and practical information that will be applicable immediately on your return to your own practice. As always, our faculty is chosen for their world class speaking abilities as well as their knowledge.

Our faculty will be available to answer your individual questions at multiple question and answer sessions, panel discussions, at numerous refreshment breaks and at our popular, annual "Sunset Chat with the Speakers".

We will be continuing our tradition of limiting attendance to our first 225 registrants in order to maintain a high degree of personal attention to each attendee and maintain the informal access to speakers that characterizes this meeting.

Please note that casual address is appropriate for all meetings and social events!
* Halloween Costume Party and contest in Hawaii: Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume (optional) and join us at the Opening Reception on Halloween night. A wonderful prize will be awarded for best male and female costume.
