Pet Food Information

This is what being a vet student is all about...a variety of discounted pet food! The information summarizes the contact, enrollment site and pick-up information for the three major food manufacturers represented at UC Davis SVM. Please email the webmaster with updated information.

NOTE: Starting with the 2008-09 school year, a flat fee of $50/year will get you pet food for the entire year from all of the pet food companies that are currently distributing food on campus. Proceeds from the fee will go directly back into the student body, such as increased funding for student clubs and the professional development fund (PDF). Please contact your class SCAVMA representatives for more information.

Instructions:

  1. Enter username and password in the sign-in box in the middle of the page. First time users will have to enroll and have their enrollment verified by the student representative.
  2. Click on "My Order" button on the left side of page.
  3. Choose 40 lb of dog food only OR 20 lb of cat food only. You cannot order both cat and dog food. Also, 1 case of cans count as a 10 lb item, regardless of dog or cat.
  4. Click on "Order Now" to place food in your cart
  5. If the items have been ordered correctly, $0 should be owed on the order.
  6. Click on "Check Out" button.
  7. Click on "Submit Order" button. You can re-login anytime during the order period to change your order.
  8. A confirmation email should arrive shortly in your mailbox. SAVE your confirmation until after the distribution should any problems with the order arise. If you did not receive the email confirmation, then your order was not submitted correctly.
  9. A distribution list will be sent via email after the close of the ordering period. There will be no replacement orders if your name is not on the list and you do not have a confirmation email.

NO food will be handed out early or set out afterwards. Any leftover food will be sold by SCAVMA at 6:40PM after the pick-up period at reduced prices. If you cannot make the pick-up time, please have a proxy pick up the food for you during the alloted time.

  3. View product information at http://www.naturapet.com/. Note that due to availability with the distributor, not all products at the Natura website are available through this program.
  4. Enter the security code presented on the order form.

  6. You will receive a confirmation email after you make a food order. Please make sure you receive and save your confirmation email. If you did not receive a confirmation email after ordering a pet food, it means your order did not get submitted.

Instructions:

  1. Print out and complete the order form. There are no actual limits on the amount of food ordered per student, but please order just enough for your pet until the next month's ordering period.
  2. Return the completed order form to Britany's mailbox in the 2010 homeroom.
  3. For safety purposes, if you are ordering a raw diet, you will be given a coupon that you can redeem at Ace Hardware and Pet Pantry in Davis, Katie's K-9 Corral or Pet Factory in Woodland, or the Ace Hardware in Dixon. All canned and dry diets will arrive at the school.

Instructions:

  1. First time users should enter the information from their Advocate Card in the "Create an Account" window. Complete all required information to enroll in the program. You should receive a confirmation email that you have registered for the program.
  2. Returning users log in with their username and password and click on "Log In"
  3. Browse for items by clicking on "Dog" or "Cat" on the left hand of the page. If you know of a specific item that you want to search for, you can enter the product name on the right and click on "Go".
  4. Click on "Order" next to your desired product.
  5. When your order is complete, click on the "Checkout" button.

SCAVMA Food Sale Prices

Need to pick up some extra food? SCAVMA representatives are on hand at the conclusion of each food pick-up to sell remaining food items at a discounted price. Check your emails for additional times that the food shed will be open. Prices for food are shown below. Availability of items is limited.

  • 11-20 lbs., flat of large cans: $8
  • 21-30 lbs.: $10
  • 31-40 lbs.: $15
