Martha M. Davis, DVM
Graduating from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984, Martha entered private practice and then sharpened her clinical skills by being a principal clinician of Tri-Valley Emergency Clinic, in Dublin, CA. This allowed her to directly interact with a much higher number of pet owners than seen in most family practices, many of whom were under the considerable stress of having their pet unexpectedly ill and sometimes facing traumatic injury. She was also able to develop relationships with more than 100 fellow veterinarians who supported the emergency clinic where she was employed.
After working in emergency and critical care medicine for 13 years, Martha returned to day practice with the purchase of Terra Linda Veterinary Hospital in 1998. Since that time, she has developed ties with the community through involvement and participation with the local schools, rescue groups, the Marin Humane Society, the Marin County Veterinary Medical Association and local business groups.
Dr. Davis has participated extensively in both clinical and management continuing education throughout her career, including completing the 4-week trainings offered by the highly regarded Veterinary Management Institute and the Veterinary Leadership Academy.
To supplement her highly regarded skill set in traditional western medicine Martha has pursued training in companion animal acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. This integrative approach to her services allows an expanded clinical offering that serves both patient care and a diverse Marin clientele that frequently desires alternative therapeutic options be available for their pet’s illnesses.
