What is a Webinar?
Finding it difficult to make it to Davis for our Symposium? No problem! We're excited to offer our first ever symposium webinar.
We are very excited to be able to offer a webinar option for the VBMA symposium this year to those that can't physically attend our event. Using Adobe Connect, we will stream live video, including lecture slides, and audio of the presentations. In order to be able to access the webinar feature, our registrants will need: 1) access to the internet on the day of the event and 2) Adobe Flash installed on the computer (which is likely pre-installed on your computer already).
Asking questions during the event and Troubleshooting:
Should you want to ask the presenter a question during the talk, that can happen too! There will be a live chat box beneath the lecture slides of each presentation in which any participant can type a question and submit it. One of our lecture assistants will monitor the online chat and ask your questions for you as they come up! Our assistants will also be monitoring the webinar to help troubleshoot any issues our participants may experience during the event.
The fine print:
After you successfully register to participate in our live webinar, you will receive access instructions via email within one week of the event (likely 48 hours prior to the event). If you also register for CE credit, we will mail you a CE certificate no sooner than one week after the symposium. Only Track I will be available via webinar, Track II will not be offered to webinar registrants.
TEST YOUR CONNECTION:
If you are unfamiliar with Adobe Connect, especially if this is your first time using Adobe Connect, we strongly recommend that you test your connection to ensure you do not experience any problems accessing the webinar on the day of the symposium. Feel free to check your connection here:
