  • Application process: Submit cover letter, application, resume, and two sealed letters of reference to Ms. Gildling. Rolling admissions. Summer has the busiest rehabilitation caseload.
  • Perks : Housing is provided, as is a small food stipend. Housing is within walking distance of the Center and shopping, so personal transportation is not needed. Emergency medical insurance coverage is also provided.
  • Duration : Min 6-8 wks., although 12 wk externship is preferred. Externs should be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Additional Info : Extern will primarily be working with marine mammals, although some seabirds and fish will be included. Extern will be required to complete a small project during the externship.
