  • Application process: Submit resume, letter of intent, and internship application available online to Nancy Kaufman. If desired externship is between January and June, applicants should submit materials by May 15 th of the previous year. If desired externship is between July and December, applicants should submit materials by November 15 th of the previous year.
  • Perks: Free, furnished housing available on zoo grounds (apartment above hospital with kitchenette, tv, phone, linens, etc.).
  • Duration: 4 wks, possibly up to 8 wks. Hours are extremely reasonable (either 7:30am – 4:30pm or 8am – 5pm, with an hour lunch), with average work schedule of 40-50 hours/ wk and two days off. No on-call duties required.
  • Additional Info: Apply as early as possible; spots fill up quickly since this is one of the few externships open to first/second year students. The Zoo is located a block away from the beach… yay!
