Veterinary Business Management Association Club

Meet Our Officers

Over the course of the year, all of the events, lunch talks, and VBMA Facebook posts come from these fantastic people we have as our officers. They work hard to bring us current and pertinent information from the world of business and management.

We recruit new officers in the fall, work closely with them to train them for their positions, and officially pass the torch each spring semester. Meet our new officer team!

Tricia Nguyen - President

I am a second year veterinary student passionate about companion animal medicine. I hope to one day own multi-doctor practice(s) in Southern California. As VBMA President, I am excited to serve my colleagues and bring them the highest level of business education possible. I have a little orange kitten named "Little Orange Kitten" (or "LOKI" for short) who I love to snuggle with in my free time.

Paige Livingston - Vice President

I am a second year student interested in small animal medicine and hope to own at least one clinic in the future. VBMA serves an important role for veterinary students in preparation for the professional world, and I am excited to continue providing my colleagues with informative programming. In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball, trying all the great Boba places in Davis, and competing against other VBMA officers for FitBit steps.

Ricky Walther - President Elect

I am a first year veterinary student from Auburn, CA interested in small animal practice ownership. During my time as a UC Davis undergraduate, I worked as a residence hall supervisor and learned to value the need for business and leadership skills in the veterinary curriculum which VBMA provides. In my free time I love to travel and explore the outdoors.

Alex Tsai - Vice President Elect

I'm from Irvine, California and studied Animal Biology at UC Davis. I am interested in small animal medicine and plan on running my own practice in the future.

Audrey Clark - Secretary

I am a Floridian born and raised, and studied both Animal Sciences and Spanish language at the University of Florida. In the future, I plan to work in a multi-doctor small animal practice, with particular interests in dentistry and practice management. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends and doing anything outdoors.

Misha Igel -Treasurer

I am a second year student from Sacramento, CA interested in small animal general practice. I went to UC Davis my undergraduate education as an Animal Science major and am excited to return for my veterinary education. I have learned more about business in the past year than I ever imagined possible and am looking forward to help bring these learning opportunities to the rest of our colleagues. In my free time I enjoy salsa dancing, volleyball, and drawing.

Neda Othman - Events Team

I grew up in the Bay Area where I surprisingly got most of my pre-veterinary experience with wildlife. I love leadership, entrepreneurship, empowering women, and promoting gender equality. I pretty much love everything about medicine, including human medicine (the public health aspect of veterinary medicine), and have decided to join the US Army Veterinary Corps to start my career in veterinary medicine, which I hope will propel me into positions in which I can positively impact the nation and world through veterinary medicine.

Megan Heil - Events Team

I'm a San Diego native and a UC Davis Animal Science alumni! I plan to emphasize in large animal medicine and hope to pursue specialty practice after vet school. I have a small pup at home named Jenny and we love to hike and jet home to San Diego beaches whenever we get the chance!

Christina Mote - Events Team

I am a first year student interested in specializing or owning my own small animal practice. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors and visiting family in the Bay Area.

Galen Groff - BCP Coordinator

I am a Northern CA native and attended UC Davis as an undergrad, studying Wildlife Health with a minor in Art History. As a vet student, I am interested in both wildlife and emergency small animal medicine and hope to own a small animal practice one day. I enjoy birdwatching, photography, and outdoor adventures!

Francesca Solari - Marketing Officer

I was born and raised in Marin County, California and went to California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo to study Animal Sciences with a minor in Biology. After veterinary school, I plan to work in a collaborative small animal practice and eventually hope to own my own practice. In my free time I love to run, camp, hike, and spend time with my family and friends.
