Attention Breeders: Ultrasound PKD clinics for disease severity coming soon!The Lyons' Den is the feline and comparative genetics laboratory of Dr. Leslie A. Lyons in the Department of Population Health & Reproduction in the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine . The research focus of the Lyons' Den is the genetics of the domestic cat and the development of genetic tools and resources that assist gene mapping in the cat and other companion animals. Comparative maps are being developed for the cat, dog and horse. Feline research is focused on the discovery of mutations that cause inherited diseases and phenotypic traits and in the population dynamics of breed development and domestic cat evolution. Dr. Lyons has a partial appointment with the California National Primate Research Center (CNPRC) and is augmenting and developing new genetic resources and research for the rhesus macaque.Please provide suggestions to the webmaster: felinegenome@ucdavis.edu
