The UCVMC-SD Clinical Nutrition Program

Clinical Nutrition was recently launched with the generous seed support of Waltham.

The service is supported by board-certified veterinary nutritionists and extends the nutrition services of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at UC Davis to Southern California veterinarians and clients.

A veterinary nutritionist recommends commercial diets or formulates home-prepared diets to help manage disease and treat pet obesity with individualized weight-loss and weight management programs.

Veterinary nutritionists at both UC Davis and the UCVMC-SD consult with private practitioners throughout the country to provide optimal nutritional advice.
