Rodent Health Surveillance
About RHS
The Rodent Health Surveillance (RHS) program consists of at least quarterly diagnostic monitoring of rodents used in teaching and research at UC Davis. This specifically involves necropsy evaluation of sentinel rodents with ancillary testing including microbiology, parasitology, serology, PCR, and histologic evaluation. This program also includes microbiological environmental monitoring of animal facilities thru swab and rodac plate testing. This program can be tailored to an individual’s specific needs.
