Ways to Give

Giving by Mail

Most CEH donors send one or more checks per year directly to the Center. They receive an official acknowledgement of their tax-deductible gift toward equine research by return mail. Individuals who donate $1,000 or more annually qualify for membership in the Silver Stirrup Society and receive a handsome certificate and special materials related to the Society and its informational programs.

To donate by mail, please download and print a Center for Equine Health brochure which contains a contribution form and our address. Please make checks payable to UC Regents.

Estate Giving

Some horse enthusiasts would like to make a significant gift toward equine research but lack the current means to do so. Many of these individuals include the CEH in their will or revocable living trust.

An increasing number of successful horse lovers find themselves with accumulated assets such as stocks or real estate that are highly appreciated but provide only modest income. These assets are ideally suited for charitable trusts or gift annuities that provide annual income to the donor and a sizable gift for equine research at a later date.

To obtain further information on how to help the Center for Equine Health with a current or planned gift, please contact our office at (530)752-6433, or email Dr. Claudia Sonder at csonder@ucdavis.edu, or call the School of Veterinary Medicine's Development Office at (530)752-7024.

Endowments

An endowed gift allows for long-term planning. The principal is invested by the treasurers of the University of California and returns annual interest.  Part of the annual interest is reinvested to increase the principal and part is used for the purpose intended (such as a yearly scholarship).  Endowed funds can be directed to recognize the donor, horse, or any designee.

Your gift is truly appreciated.
