The Center for Equine Health is pleased to introduce two new specialists in equine reproduction, Dr. Bruce Christensen and Dr. Ghislaine Dujovne. They will be providing the following services at the CEH:
Mare breeding management with fresh, chilled or frozen semen.
Mare breeding soundness evaluations.
Full embryo transfer services, including a recipient herd.
Mare subfertility evaluations.
Pregnancy monitoring and foal watch program.
High-risk pregnancy evaluations and monitoring.
Fetal sex determination.
Stallion breeding soundness evaluations.
Semen processing and shipment.
Computer-assisted semen analysis.
Stallion subfertility evaluations.
Novice stallion training for semen collection.
Dr. Christensen received his DVM from Cornell University in 2002 and completed a residency in theriogenology (reproduction and fertility) at the University of Florida, with a focus on horses and dogs. While at the University of Florida, he earned an MS degree in reproductive physiology and subsequently received his board-certification from the American College of Theriogenologists.
Dr. Dujovne received her DVM degree from the Universidad de Chile in 2004. She completed a residency in theriogenology at the University of Auburn in Alabama, where she also earned an MS degree in biomedical sciences. She is board-certified by the American College of Theriogenologists.
