IVSA is a worldwide organization dedicated to educating veterinary students interested in international medicine. IVSA helps bring together students with similar interests, and serves as a resource for students to gain experience abroad. Here is a list of just some of the purposes the UC Davis chapter of IVSA serves.

• Help establish contacts for students wanting to gain experience abroad.
• Help raise money to fund student travel.
• Gather and donate supplies to international veterinary schools in need.
• Assist Heifer Project.
• Setting up a sister school with a Ukraine Veterinary School.
• Host students visiting Davis, and help them find housing.
• Help organize International Experience Presentation in the Fall quarter.
