A Cooperative Effort |
| The Mercer Clinic is a cooperative effort between multiple groups, including veterinary volunteers (doctors and students), undergraduate vet aide students, and veterinary companies sponsoring efforts. 30-50 veterinary students volunteer their time each month, working with clients, conducting physical exams and preventive medicine on feline & canine patients (heartworm prevention, flea treatment, and vaccines), and work with sick patients along with the volunteer doctors. |
| The Mercer Clinic would not run as smoothly as it does without the help from the Vet-Aide club, a group of undergraduate students at UC Davis with an interest in helping animals. Not only do they help the monthly clinics run smoothly, but they also sell items at the weekly Davis farmer's market (including flowers) to raise funds for the clinic. |
