Food Distribution Program
The Food Distribution Program has been a part of the Mercer Clinic since its inception in 1992. It has been growing through recent years. Due to the help of pet food companies and individuals from the community, the Mercer Clinic is able to distribute over 2000 pounds of quality pet food each month!
The program is coordinated by Mercer's Nutrition Coordinators, Tracy Alexander and Laura Bruno with the help of people from Loaves and Fishes and fellow classmates. Food donated to the clinic is distributed to our clients on clinic days and the rest is given to Loaves and Fishes for distribution to homeless people and their pets throughout the the month. Surplus is distributed to animal shelters in the community.
The Mercer Clinic would like to thank the following pet food companies for their generous support of our food distribution program, as well as to all the individuals who help us.
