A Word
About Food:
In an effort to provide money saving options, we decided not to include
food in the price of the symposium this year. Tea and coffee
will
be
complimentary to all registrants. Food
orders are
now closed, so (if you have
not already ordered) please plan to bring a bag lunch or plan to travel
downtown (10-15 min drive) for food.
Please click HERE for a map of the UC Davis campus. The symposium will be held in Valley Hall (Gladys Valley Hall) near the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH). Free parking will be available in lot VP50.
The Davis Wiki is a great resource for public transportation, accommodations, dining and activities.
This will be a zero-waste event. In this spirit, while cups will be available, we encourage you to bring your own mug for the complimentary tea or coffee.

The UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine has many scholarship opportunities, but most of these are not available for students with a wildlife/zoological/aquatic emphasis. As fees continue to increase due to the California-state budget crisis and with the already low projected salaries for the field of wildlife medicine, it is becoming increasingly difficult financially for students to pursue a career in this discipline. Thus WAAM is seeking to raise $5500 to help us establish an endowed annual scholarship to assist veterinary students focusing in wildlife, zoological and aquatic animal medicine. If you would like to support this endeavor (even if unable to attend the symposium), we appreciate your donation of any amount. (*Please note that donations made in this manner are NOT tax deductible. However, a tax-deductible option will be available here shortly, and will also be available at the symposium itself.)
