Jennifer graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL with a BS in zoology, and is now pursuing her Ph.D. in the epidemiology of zoonotic and vectorborne diseases. Her doctoral research focuses on modeling the spatio-temporal dynamics of plague in the western United States, from its initial invasion in the Port of San Francisco to its current status as an endemic disease, in order to understand how plague is maintained in the environment.
