Administrative facilities
CVEC's administrative home is within the School of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology in Haring Hall.

Surveillance and arbovirus research facilities
Extensive statewide arbovirus surveillance and much of our arbovirus research takes place in a secure BSL-3 capable laboratory building outside of Davis.

Bakersfield and Coachella Valley Field Stations
Field research on the ecology and control of mosquitoes and arboviruses is conducted at UC facilities at Bakersfield hosted by the Kern Mosquito and Vector Control District [MVCD] with additional field sites at the Coachella Valley, Greater Los Angeles and Sacramento/Yolo MVCDs.

J-building renovation
J1 will be a renovation allowing for mosquito, flea, and other research on emerging infectious diseases and major public health threats. Renovation is due to begin in late 2005.

School of Medicine and Center for Vectorborne Disease Research Insectaries
A state-of-the-art insect rearing facility supports the research of multiple investigators in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, the School of Medicine, and the School of Veterinary Medicine. This 1,500 sq ft. level-2 containment facility is comprised of eleven individual temperature-, humidity- and light-controlled laboratory suites that allow for maintenance of a variety of insect species under a range of environmental conditions. The facility supports ongoing research by core faculty, with the goal that new collaborations will be facilitated by shared space and resources.

Laboratory renovations:
Newly designed and equipped laboratories have been developed for CVEC researchers in Tupper Hall associated with the School of Medicine and School of Veterinary Medicine and in Haring Hall as part of the School of Veterinary Medicine.
