Tender Loving Care for Pets (TLC)

|
Tender Loving Care for Pets (TLC) is a new program at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine designed to provide permanent loving homes for companion animals left behind when predeceased by their owners. Through their estate plans, owners can establish funds to provide for necessary lifetime medical care for their pets. The TLC will identify and monitor new homes for enrolled pets and ensure that they receive lifetime health care from the world famous Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH) at UC Davis.
Caretakers will be able to bring enrolled pets to the UC Davis VMTH for annual examinations and vaccinations, as well as for emergency or chronic illness care. As the pets age, more frequent examinations will be provided for senior pet care. All the veterinary care provided to enrolled pets at the VMTH will be free of charge to the TLC for Pets caretaker home. For more information, please call the Development Office at 530-752-7024. |
“Take a Seat” in the new Gladys Valley Hall
|

|
Gladys Valley Hall (formerly known as the Veterinary Medicine Instructional Facility) is one of five veterinary buildings being constructed over a five-year period. This 55,000 square foot multi-dimensional structure will be the School’s first new classroom building since Haring Hall was dedicated in 1950. When completed this spring, Valley Hall will become the instructional heart of the School of Veterinary Medicine, providing auditoriums, classrooms, dedicated meeting and seminar spaces, and designated study areas for students.
For a contribution of $1,000, you can have a nameplate permanently placed on a desk in of the VCA Hall, one of the two large auditoriums. Of the original 174 auditorium seats, only 44 remain available for naming.
This is an exceptional and unique way to:
- Honor a special someone – family member, faculty person, professional colleague
- Memorialize a beloved pet
- Gratefully acknowledge your UC Davis education
- Invest in the future of veterinary medicine
- Be an inspiration to others who will follow your lead
