12/2009-11/2011 President. Sociedad Iberoamericana de Epidemiologia Veterinaria y Medicina Preventiva (Ibero-American Society of Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, SIEVMP). The SIEVMP was founded in Santiago de Chile in December 2009 with the objective of promoting the disciplines of Preventive Medicine and Veterinary Epidemiology in Spanish and Portuguese languages. Dr. Perez has been elected by unanimous vote of the >250 SIEVMP members from >25 countries as the first president of the SIEVMP (www.sievmp.org).
