Research Focus

Influence of aging, caloric restriction, nutritional and genetic manipulations on metabolic pathways. The role mitochondria play in the aging process and the effects of the above mentioned interventions on various mitochondrial functions. Oxidative stress and free radical generation during the aging process and under various dietary manipulation and the role mitochondria play in the process.
