Caitlin is a current second year Comparative Pathology Master's candidate at UC Davis working in the Department of Medicine and Epidemiology. Her main focus is research in wildlife population health and diseases, and the implications for conservation and management.
Current research being conducted towards her Master's is with the federally endangered Amargosa Vole (Microtus californicus scirpensis). As part of a large state and federal assessment of the population health and stability, Caitlin is determining the prevalence of disease within the population as well as establishing a baseline dataset of morphometrics and parasites.
