Check out our newly posted Cyber Security guidelines for protection and security of your personal information and other sensitive data while traveling abroad!

We would like to encourage you to register your Trip, (including personal and UC Business travel, both domestic and international), so you can receive real-time travel alerts that might affect your itinerary. This free service support allows travelers to be aware and avoid potential difficulties with minimal trip disruption.

Please note, the registration portal referenced above will automatically provide insurance documentation applicable only for University business travel. If you would like to purchase the same travel and security insurance services for your personal travel, you have the option to do so here.

Travel Alert re: Yellow Fever Vaccine

Please be advised that medical facilities throughout the United States are currently experiencing a shortage of yellow fever vaccine (YFV). UC Davis’ Travel Medicine Program, for example, is completely out of the vaccine. Per the CDC, the shortage is likely to continue into mid-2018 due to delays in the production process at the sole U.S. manufacturer of YFV. Please contact our office if you require vaccination for university travel so we can connect you with the Campus Travel Security Manager.

A number of countries require proof of vaccination (generally within the last 10 years) prior to entering. While entry requirements may change without notice, the countries listed below require proof of yellow fever vaccination regardless of where the traveler is arriving from: Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, French Guiana, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Sierra Leone, Suriname, and Togo.

Some countries require proof of vaccination if travelers are arriving from countries “with risk of yellow fever virus transmission.” The listing of such countries can be found here.

Additionally, the WHO maintains a comprehensive, country-specific listing of YFV requirements here.
