IAWTI embraces the One Health concept and we have a commitment to training, research and service that includes all species and considers human and environmental impact. The One Health concept is a worldwide strategy for expanding interdisciplinary collaborations and communications in all aspects of health care for humans, animals and the environment.

Our main activities are with equids, livestock and companion animals but we are available to all species in need our help. Currently, we are working with the Sacramento Zoo to develop rescue techniques for large hooved stock such as giraffes.
