The Office of International Programs (OIP), School of
Veterinary Medicine, University of California, Davis was established
in 1995. Its principal objectives are:
DVM Instruction
- Facilitate student international involvement by coordination of
student interest with available opportunities; fostering international
student exchanges.
- Create additional opportunities (new programs, funding) for DVM
students to train abroad.
- Document and publicize student international activities.
Research and Graduate Education
- Maintain a visible focal point for SVM International Programs; coordinate
international agreements.
- Create and maintain a database of faculty international interest
and expertise.
- Increase SVM international profile by such activities as publicizing
faculty and student international activities, initiation of seminar
series.
- Provide faculty with current information on international funding
opportunities.
- Pursue funding for international projects.
- Create increased opportunities for international scholars in SVM
in preclinical and clinical areas.
