The dedicated team of professionals in the VMTH Equine Clinic provides the most advanced medical, surgical, lameness, reproductive, and diagnostic services to horse owners and referring veterinarians. Our team is comprised of experienced board-certified veterinary specialists, veterinary residents in advanced specialist training programs, animal health technicians and nurses, client service representatives, animal caretakers, and veterinary students. All work together toward the common goal of delivering the highest possible standard of compassionate veterinary care to ill or injured horses, while training the equine practitioners and veterinary specialists of the future. Our world-renowned faculty members constantly make new discoveries, generate new knowledge, and develop new techniques to advance horse health, and the VMTH provides the most up-to-date equipment and technology so that our Equine Clinic team can offer your horse the best possible care. While many horse owners are referred to the VMTH by veterinarians in private practice, a substantial number seek out our expertise and services on their own and “self refer”.
In addition to the many clinical services available through regularly scheduled appointments, we provide emergency care to sick or injured adult horses and foals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Please call ahead so that you can provide us with the basic information we need in order to be ready for you when you arrive at the clinic with your emergency.
