D-Lab Wet Lab
Objective: One day crash course for students interested in doing field work and want to know more about how to work and interact with country of interest, aligning your goals with the needs of the individuals you're working with, and what technologies are available to you. For more information on D-lab please visit http://piet1.ucdavis.edu/projects. We are partnering with VPHO as well as graduate students on this project.

One Health Day for UC Medical Students
Objective: A one day event for UC medical students from the 6 UC SOMs including comparative anatomy crash course and rotations through the clinic.

Mendota Project
Objective: To work with the immigrant agricultural workers of Mendota, CA. The first event is a health clinic this summer in which we want to showcase veterinary medicine and educate people on how to properly care for their animals and when they need to take them to the vet. Medical students, this is also an opportunity to work with an under-served community and potentially start a clinic. This project has a lot of potential for expansion!

Sabana Grande, Nicaragua Clinic
Objective: One Health Clinic in Nicaragua with UCD medical students. Students on this project are responsible for finding a preceptor, setting up the clinic, and coordinating with the medical school as well as finding funding for the trip (which they must attend) in May.

Career Fair
Objective: Host a career fair spring quarter featuring local/surrounding NGOs and non-profits in the field of public health and environmental health. Responsibilities for this project include contacting NGOs and the logistics of setting up this fair (fliers, reserving area to host, food, etc. ..)
