Annual Rehabilitation Conference
Participant organizations’ key personnel and staff who are most likely to respond to oiled wildlife are encouraged to attend. A small stipend is available for each organization and may be used to defray travel costs associated with attending the conference. This conference qualifies for California Department of Fish and Game wildlife rehabilitation continuing education credit.
2009 Conference
The 2009 Conference will be held October 24th and 25th 2009 at San Diego's SeaWorld and at Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute. More details will be posted as they become available.
2008 Conference Program and Lectures
On October 18 and 19 2008, the OWCN held its first Annual Rehabilitation Conference. The first day of the conference was located in Davis and included a number of lectures focusing on a variety of subjects ranging from OWCN protocols and research to new rehabilitation techniques. The the second day offered participants the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at either the San Francisco Bay Oiled Wildlife Care and Education Center or The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito.
