QUALIFICATION:
D.V.M. or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school, two
or more years of training in anatomic pathology, and academically qualified
for admission as a graduate student to the University of California, Davis.
Demonstrated teaching and leadership skills in veterinary education.
DESCRIPTION:
An advanced residency training position in anatomic pathology suitable
for persons with at least two years of post-D.V.M. training in pathology.
The Senior Resident works closely with the Chief of Service and Service
Manager to ensure that all Service activities are completed in a timely
and thorough manner. The Senior Resident takes rotating assignments on
the biopsy and necropsy services while providing mentorship for first
and second year residents. The Senior Resident serves as the liaison between
clinical faculty, house officers and the Service, represents the Anatomic
Pathology Service at hospital clinical rounds and provides consultations
for clinicians.
The Senior Resident Program is designed for persons intending to take
the certifying examination of the A.C.V.P. and to pursue a Ph.D. degree
