The Office of International Programs for the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of California, Davis was established to help facilitate foreign exchange of veterinary students, faculty, and staff for educational enhancement and cultural enrichment. This program provides administrative infrastructure within the SVM to help facilitate international activities. The UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is dedicated to promoting research, service, and education with the goal of making global impacts while educating future generations. Formal exchanges are available between UCD and countries with an exchange agreement in place.

Some of the services that the SVM Office of International Programs provides are:

  • Establish formal college and university based international partnerships with other institutions that provide training in veterinary medicine
  • Provide funding support for graduate professional students to obtain international experiences
  • Provide assistance for students seeking international externships
  • Provide information that helps facilitate international travel
