Rachel Pollard, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVR
Assistant Professor of Radiology

Dr. Pollard works closely with all facets of small animal imaging including radiology, ultrasound, computed tomography, nuclear imaging and magnetic resonance imaging.  She is interested in clinical research questions as well as basic research endeavors, mostly in collaboration with the University of California, Davis Department of Biomedical Engineering.  Specific areas of research include:

  1. Radiofrequency heat ablation for imaging guided percutaneous therapy of tumors.
  2. Quantitative contrast enhanced ultrasound for assessing tumor blood flow and response to therapy.
  3. Quantitative computed tomography for measuring blood flow and permeability in tumors.
  4. Quantitative computed tomography for measuring blood flow and permeability in normal and diseased kidneys.
