Dr. Jane Sykes BVSc(Hons) PhD

Dr. Sykes is board-certified in small animal medicine and has a 50% clinical appointment in the VMTH. Her specific research interests are in small animal infectious diseases, and she has a research laboratory in Tupper Hall. She also has an interest in immune-mediated diseases of dogs and cats.

Tools used in her laboratory include polymerase chain reaction, gel electrophoresis, Western blotting, cell culture, cloning, sequencing, and statistical analysis software. Her laboratory interacts frequently with other infectious disease researchers on campus.
