Twenty Third Annual Biotechnology Training Retreat

The Twenty Third Annual Biotechnology Training Retreat will be held at the Christian Brothers’ Retreat & Conference Center in Napa on Saturday, March 22, 2014.  Please reserve this Saturday so that you may attend. Oral presentations by our NIH and Biotech Fellows (2-4th yr) as well as Industry Partners are planned from 8:45-11:45 a.m. and from 2:00- 6:30 p.m. The registration fee is $45 per UC graduate student, UC staff, UC post-doc or Community College affiliates.  The cost for UC faculty is $55 and $65 for non-UC affiliates. You will be provided lunch (with wines from the Napa Valley), morning and afternoon refreshments and transport from UC Davis and back (if needed).  More information will follow as to agenda, driving instructions or bus transportation. Please return the attached attendance form indicating if you will be bringing others from your lab/office (supply their names, emails and if they will be presenting posters).  Don’t forget to check the appropriate box if you or others in your group plan to ride the bus up to the retreat.  Send completed forms to Jacki Balderama, Event Manager for the Biotechnology Program, by March 1, 2014.  We also require your abstracts for posters no later than March 8, 2014.  If you have any questions, please contact Jacki at 530-752-1048 by phone, or email her at jbalderama@ucdavis.edu. Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy

Improving the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of infectious diseases!

For five days this September, experts from all over the world will learn how collaborative efforts can foster global change. Held on September 5, Courses will provide attendees with an opportunity to attend half- or full-day series of lectures focused on a single topic.  This is a chance for attendees to get a head start on their ICAAC experience and walk away with practical information and tools to apply in their work.
