Zoetis (Formerly Pfizer) Distinguished Veterinary Teacher Award
Pfizer Animal Health became Zoetis on February 1, 2013. It is now a standalone, public company focused solely on animal health. The new name, Zoetis, has its roots in words such as "zoo" and "zoology" and is derived from "zoetia", meaning "pertaining to life." Their commitment remains unchanged - to better understand and address, in truly relavent ways, the real-world challenge s faced by those who raise and care for farm and companion animals. Their renewed focus is: For animals. For health. For you.
The award recognizes outstanding teachers who contribute significantly to the advancement of the veterinary medical education through ability, dedication, character and leadership. Winners of the Distinguished Teacher Award are then evaluated annually to select the National Award winner.
