January 14-16, 2008 : The 76th Mosquito and Vector Control Association of California (MVCAC) Annual Conference in Palm Springs, CA. Mar 2-6, 2008 : The 74th Annual Meeting of the America Mosquito Control Association will be held at John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks, Nevada.

Other Events

UC Davis Malaria Awareness Day took place from 2 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2007 in the Main Theatre, Wright Hall. UC Davis Chancellor Larry Vanderhoef delivered introductory remarks. Speakers included faculty from the UC Davis and UC San Francisco Schools of Medicine; the Department of Entomology; and the UC School of Veterinary Medicine. UC Mosquito Research Program in February 2006 formed the UC Malaria Research and Control Group to Battle Malaria in Africa, comprised of 21 UC scientists from five campuses collaborating with the 61 districts in the Mosquito and Vector Control Association of California.
