The primary goal of the UC Mosquito Research Program is to conduct research which will provide improved methods of managing pest and disease-transmitting mosquitoes, thereby protecting the citizens of California from mosquito-borne disease and discomfort from mosquito bites. Emphasis of the Program is on principles of integrated pest management, including practical biological control strategies and other approaches which are not disruptive to the environment.

To meet the needs of mosquito abatement districts (MAD) throughout the State of California, we have asked them to provide us with the research topics that they would like to be pursued in the next round of proposals. Following are their feedback.
