Our dedicated team of professionals in the VMTH Equine Clinic provides a broad range of advanced medical, surgical, reproductive, and diagnostic services to the owners of New World camelids. Our team is comprised of experienced board-certified veterinary specialists, resident veterinarians in advanced specialist training programs, animal health technicians and nurses, client service representatives, animal caretakers, and veterinary students. All work together toward the common goal of delivering the highest possible standard of compassionate veterinary care to ill or injured camelids and top quality client service, while training the Large Animal practitioners and veterinary specialists of the future. Our world-renowned faculty members constantly make new discoveries, generate new knowledge, and develop new techniques to advance animal health and the VMTH provides the most up-to-date equipment and technology so that we can offer your alpaca or llama the best possible care.

While many camelid owners are referred to the VMTH by veterinarians in private practice, a substantial number seek out our expertise on their own and "self refer". In addition to the many clinical services available through regularly scheduled appointments, we provide emergency care to sick or injured adult camelids and crias 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including nights, holidays and weekends. Please call ahead so that you can provide us with the basic information we need in order to be ready for you when you arrive at the clinic with your emergency.
