Thoracic Radiographs

This DV radiograph shows an enlarged cardiac silhouette and pulmonary infiltrates that project to the chest wall. The mainstem bronchi are pushed apart by a structure and there is a slight bulge at the 2 to 3 o'clock position on the heart. There is an increased amount of gas in the stomach.

This right lateral thoracic radiograph also shows an enlarged cardiac silhouette. The left mainstem bronchus is elevated with respect to the right mainstem bronchus (see image below with arrows). There are alveolar infiltrates in the caudodorsal lung fields.

White arrow points to the dorsal border of the right mainstem bronchus. The black arrow points to the dorsal border of the left mainstem bronchus.
