Community Practice and Community Surgery Services
At the VMTH, the health and wellness of your pets is our #1 priority. Preventative care is one of the most important things you can do for your pets. The Community Practice Service, complemented by the Community Surgery Service, will keep your pet in the best health possible through a multitude of offerings such as wellness exams, vaccinations, spay and neuter surgeries, and treatment of minor ailments. Should a more serious issue with your pet be diagnosed, the specialty services at the hospital can assist with nearly any injury or illness your pet may have.
In Community Practice and Community Surgery, your pet will be cared for by one of several veterinarians who specialize in veterinary family practice. These veterinarians, assisted by technicians and students of the top-ranked UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, will provide compassionate veterinary care as your pet’s primary care provider. Community Practice can address all the primary care concerns you have for your pet, including urgent care needs. Community Surgery can address spay and neuter surgeries, as well as simple procedures such as small mass removals. As many of our students will go into primary practice, this helps us to meet our goal of providing veterinary students a general practice experience. Thank you for being a part of training the next generation of family practice veterinarians.
