Community Practice Services
At the VMTH’s Community Practice Service, your pet will be cared for by one of several veterinarians who specialize in veterinary family practice. These veterinarians, assisted by technicians and students of the top-ranked UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, will provide compassionate veterinary care as your pet’s primary care provider. Community Practice can address all the primary care concerns you have for your pet, including urgent care needs. As many of our students will go into primary practice, this helps us to meet our goal of providing veterinary students a general practice experience.
Beyond primary care concerns, Community Practice also focuses on wellness care and disease prevention or management. Services provided included vaccinations, spaying/neutering, parasite control, proper nutrition counseling, and behavioral tools to enhance and maintain the human-animal bond.
