When is Picnic Day?

What activities will the School of Veterinary Medicine have on Picnic Day?

  • Hospital tours
  • Information booths (Raptor Center, backyard poultry, student programs and clubs)
  • Equine treadmill demonstrations
  • Emergency demonstrations
  • Doxie Derby
  • Student float in parade

What time is the UC Davis veterinary hospital open for tours on Picnic Day?
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Will there be animals to see?
Yes, there will be horses, cows, dogs, cats, goats, raptors, chickens, turkeys, geese, and ducks.

Will I be able to touch animals?
Due to infectious disease control regulations in place, visitors will not be allowed to touch animals.

Is admission free?
Yes, all SVM activities on Picnic Day are free.

Where do I park?
Free parking is available on Picnic Day close to the hospital in Lots 50 and 55. Please do not park in spaces marked "Client Parking," as those spaces need to remain open for clients bringing patients to the hospital that day.
