Michael R. Floyd Veterinary Dental Operatory Suite
During the fall of 1990,
Dean Edward A. Rhode and the School of Veterinary Medicine launched
a campaign to construct a state-of-the-art veterinary dental operatory
suite in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.
Dr. Leigh West-Hyde played
a leading role in the campaign and in the design and construction
of the operatory suite. Dr. Michael R. Floyd, class of 1961, chaired
the highly successful Veterinary Dental Operatory Suite Campaign
Committee and provided a generous challenge grant that matched the
gifts of other campaign donors.
In recognition of Dr.
Floyds campaign leadership, personal generosity and continuing
support for the Schools veterinary dental program, the was
dedicated in his honor on September 12, 1992.
