Background
Milinda Lommer graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University with a BS in Biology in 1991. In 1995, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis' School of Veterinary Medicine with Phi Zeta honors.
In 1996, after completing an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery with the Sacramento Animal Medical Group, Dr. Lommer returned to UC Davis as a resident in Dentistry & Oral Surgery. She received the 1999 Peter Emily Outstanding Candidate Award from the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) and became a Diplomate of the AVDC in 2000. Following her residency, Dr. Lommer served as a clinical instructor in the Dentistry & Oral Surgery Service at UC Davis' Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital for one year before entering private practice in San Francisco in September 2000. She returned to UC Davis as a part-time clinical instructor in August 2006.
