Dr. Wisner received his DVM from UC Davis in 1983. Following 5 years in mixed practice he returned to UC Davis and completed a radiology residency in 1991. He held a joint faculty appointment with the UC Davis Schools of Veterinary Medicine and Medicine from 1992-1997. He served as head of radiology at the Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine from 1997 until 2000 at which time he returned to UC Davis. Dr. Wisner is currently a professor of diagnostic imaging and Vice-Chair of the Department of Surgical and Radiological Sciences at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. His clinical interests are in computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. In addition to clinical, research and instructional duties, he currently holds administrative positions as Associate Hospital Director for Imaging Services and Director of the Center for Imaging Sciences.
