State Fair Agility Trial August 11 to Benefit Pets of the Homeless

Two Rivers Agility Club of Sacramento is partnering with the Sacramento Dog Training Club, two groups comprised of dog agility and tracking enthusiasts from the greater Sacramento and surrounding areas, to host an American Kennel Club Agility Trial event at the California State Fair in Sacramento. The event is scheduled to take place on opening day of the fair, August 11, 2006, at 10 a.m., at Cal Expo.

Proceeds raised by the Two Rivers group have been pledged to the Mercer Veterinary Clinic for the Homeless. The Mercer Clinic is a student-operated organization providing free care for the animal companions of the homeless. The clinic meets one Saturday morning a month at Loaves and Fishes, a Sacramento, California organization which provides an array of services to the homeless.
