September 7, 2012
Registration is now open for the Second Annual Zoobiquity Conference Saturday, September 29, 2012.
The first Zoobiquity Conference in January 2011 generated a tremendous response, attracting prominent veterinarians and physicians from around the country. With greater depth, Zoobiquity 2 will continue the work of engaging veterinarians and physicians in collaborative and generative conversations about the diseases they encounter in their patients. Diseases and health issues of great concern will be addressed including infertility, cancer, psychiatry/behavior, obesity and environmental health. The conference will include lectures, poster and case presentations at UCLA followed by discussions of current animal cases at the Los Angeles Zoo.
Among those presenting cases are members of the School of Veterinary Medicine faculty:
The school has demonstrated its commitment to the conference and One Health by funding 15 veterinary student scholarships so that future veterinarians can learn more about fruitful interactions between veterinarians and physicians.
