Join us for the 6th Annual UC Davis SVM Dog ‘n’ Jog
“Run to Stomp Out Vector Borne Disease”
March 10th, 2013
Fitness-minded dogs and their two-legged running buddies will team up for the Annual School of Veterinary Medicine’s Dog ‘n’ Jog, coordinated by UC Davis’ SVM Class of 2014, and the Students for One Health Organization. Participants will run from the Veterinary School Campus through the beautiful UC Davis Arboretum. Choose from a 1.5 mile, 5k or 10k course. Check-in begins at 8 a.m.; run starts at 8:45. This year’s event follows the theme of “Taking Strides Towards Vector-Borne Disease Control Awareness.” Please join us in our effort to raise awareness about vector borne diseases affecting both humans and animals! Remember to set your clocks forward an hour this weekend.
When you're not racing, be sure to visit the health fair on the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH) Lawn to learn about vector-borne diseases and how you can keep yourself, and your quadruped friends, healthy! The fair will run from 8am until 12pm and feature booths from community organizations and UC Davis clubs.
