UC Davis Alumnus Receives Distinguished Scholar Award

August 14, 2008 BATON ROUGE—Dr. James E. Miller, professor of epidemiology and community health at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, received the 2008 School of Veterinary Medicine Faculty Distinguished Scholar Award. This award is given to a faculty member who has made significant contributions to the advancement of veterinary medicine through research and/or scholarly activities.

Dr. Miller received his BS from the University of New Mexico in 1966. He received his DVM, MPVM and PhD degrees from the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1978, 1982 and 1983, respectively. Dr. Miller joined the faculty at LSU in 1984.
